Dual Pulley Lat Pulldown DRE8011
Dual Pulley Lat Pulldown DRE8011
The Dynasty Fitness DRE8011 Dual Pulley Lat Pulldown is a selectorized lat pulldown machine with two completely independent overhead pulleys — each running its own cable — that allow bilateral lat pulldowns, unilateral single-arm pulls, and alternating pulls from one station without switching attachments or rerouting cables. A V-shaped 4-position adjustable knee stabiliser with high-density memory foam accommodates every user body type precisely, a 5kg base with 2.5kg micro-increment plates covers the full progression from beginner to advanced, and three gourd hooks hold multiple attachments at the machine for rapid switching between pulling variations. Built to commercial grade at 61"×39"×87" with a 210 lb selectorized stack.
- Two independent overhead pulleys running separate cable assemblies make bilateral pulldowns, unilateral single-arm pulls, and alternating lat pulls all available from one machine without re-rigging — every overhead pulling variation a complete back programme requires from one selectorized station
- V-shaped 4-position adjustable knee stabiliser with high-density memory foam provides both fixed-position precision and V-angle fine-tuning within each position, covering every user thigh length and proportions with a thigh contact that holds the hips planted through every pulling variation at the full working weight
- Three gourd hook attachment points keep multiple handles — wide bar, close-grip, single-arm handle, rope — at the machine simultaneously, making mid-session attachment changes a seconds-long operation rather than a storage trip
- 5kg base weight with 2.5kg micro-increment plates covers the complete load range from early beginner lat work through to advanced near-maximum pulling without requiring plate weight changes — precise progressive loading at exactly the increment the lats and upper back are developing

Exercises and muscles targeted
Exercises and muscles targeted
| Exercise | Muscles Targeted |
|---|---|
| Bilateral Lat Pulldown (wide grip) | Latissimus Dorsi — Upper and Outer Fibres (primary — wide bilateral pull maximises lat breadth), Teres Major (primary), Biceps Brachii (secondary), Rear Deltoid (secondary), Lower Trapezius (scapular depression) |
| Bilateral Lat Pulldown (close grip / neutral) | Latissimus Dorsi (primary), Teres Major (primary), Biceps Brachii (increased — closer grip and neutral wrist increase biceps co-activation), Rear Deltoid (secondary) |
| Unilateral Single-Arm Pulldown (one cable) | Latissimus Dorsi (primary — unilateral, each side works independently), Core (anti-rotation stabiliser under asymmetric overhead load), Biceps Brachii (secondary), Rear Deltoid (secondary) |
| Alternating Lat Pulldown (dual pulley, alternating) | Latissimus Dorsi (alternating per rep — each side pulls independently through the full arc), Core (rotational stabiliser demand per alternating pull), Biceps Brachii (secondary, alternating) |
| Straight-Arm Pulldown (dual cables) | Latissimus Dorsi (primary — elbow-locked pulldown isolates lat without biceps involvement), Teres Major (primary), Serratus Anterior (secondary), Triceps Brachii Long Head (secondary stabiliser) |
| Lat Pulldown — Slow Eccentric | Latissimus Dorsi (eccentric lengthening from peak contracted position through to full arm extension overhead — maximum lat hypertrophy stimulus), Biceps Brachii (eccentric), 2.5kg micro-increment plates allow load to be set precisely for controlled eccentric work |
| Behind-Neck Pulldown (wide grip) | Latissimus Dorsi — Upper Fibres (increased upper lat and teres major emphasis vs front pull), Upper Trapezius (secondary), Rhomboids (scapular retraction component). Use only with appropriate shoulder mobility and at controlled loads. |
The dual independent pulley architecture of the DRE8011 is what separates it from a standard single-pulley lat pulldown. A standard machine requires both hands to share the same cable, which locks both arms into whatever bilateral symmetry the bar imposes. The two independent cables of the DRE8011 allow each arm to move on its own cable path — producing genuine unilateral lat isolation, left-right strength comparison, and the rotating shoulder and scapular mechanics of natural pulling movements that a fixed bilateral bar cannot replicate.
