The FTAIO's 180°-swivel outside pulleys are what expand the cable exercise library beyond the fixed high/low positions of a standard functional trainer — the swivel allows the cable angle to be adjusted laterally as well as vertically, covering diagonal cable paths for woodchop, rotational, and sport-specific movement patterns that non-swivelling pulleys cannot produce. Combined with the full barbell rack on the same structure, the FTAIO covers every major training category from one footprint.
