Key Features

1.

Guided Linear Press Carriage

The sliding carriage travels on four linear motion bearings across four longitudinal guide rods in a convergent press path angled to align with the chest muscle fibre direction during flat and decline pressing. The linear guide system keeps the bar on a fixed path regardless of bilateral load imbalance or fatigue, which is the core advantage of Smith-style pressing over free barbell alternatives at maximum loads. 6005-2Z bearings support the handle pivot system, and a hook bracket with chain buckle provides a safety latch at any carriage position.
2.

15-Position Back Pad

The back pad adjusts through 15 precisely indexed positions between 0° and -18° via a gas spring mechanism operated by the elongated single-hand adjustment handle. The 15 positions within the 18-degree range provide finer angle granularity than most decline press machines, allowing the press direction to be tuned precisely to target different regions of the lower pectoral fibre map. Adjustment is possible without dismounting, so angle changes between sets within a session take seconds.
3.

Self-Adjusting Leg Support

The FOAM rack with four foam pads anchors the lower legs during decline pressing and is returned to the resting position automatically by two return springs after the user dismounts, ready for the next user without manual repositioning. This auto-return mechanism eliminates the manual roller adjustment and repositioning step that standard decline bench leg supports require between users, which is the most common source of friction at a decline bench station in a commercial facility.
4.

Assist Handles for Safe Decline Exit

Two scaffold assist handles are positioned to provide grip points that allow the user to sit up from the -18° decline position under their own upper body strength without requiring a spotter or staff assistance. Sitting up from a decline position without handles requires either a strong hip flexor-driven crunch or external assistance. The assist handles give the arms a mechanical advantage for the sit-up motion, making decline pressing practical for solo training across a commercial user population.
5.

Six-Position Handle Height and Unilateral Support

Six handle height positions on the sliding carriage accommodate users of different arm lengths in both flat and decline configurations. The height positions adjust where the grip point sits relative to the chest in the starting position, which determines the effective bottom range of the press at each back pad angle. Each handle can also be used independently for unilateral single-arm pressing, where one handle is engaged while the other rests at a park position along the carriage.
