1. Position the bench on a flat, level surface. The fixed upright back pad is set at 90 degrees and requires no angle adjustment before use.
2. Sit on the seat pad with the back fully in contact with the upright back pad and both feet flat on the floor at hip width. The back pad should support the full length of the spine from the lumbar region through the upper back.
3. Confirm the seat height positions the knees at approximately 90 degrees with both feet comfortably grounded before loading.

Performing Shoulder Press

1. Have a training partner hand the dumbbells up to the starting position at shoulder height, or clean them from the floor to shoulder height before sitting against the back pad.
